Friday September 26, 2003 - 07:39 AM

In what could be interpretted as a retaliatory move to combat the newfound threat of Nokia's N-Gage game deck, Nintendo announced today a wireless adapter for it's Gameboy Advance series of handhelds. The gameboy accessory uses a 2.4GHz radio frequency (RF) chipset and will enable up to five players to play each other wirelessly. The wireless adapter with the new Game Boy Advance software "Pokemon FireRed" and "Pokemon LeafGreen" will be launched in Japan first half of 2004. Retail prices and American shipping dates are unknown at this time. Photo of the device.
