After having been released on the new Nokia 6600, Opera Software today made available for download a new and improved browser that includes many of the enhancements made in the Nokia 6600 delivery for all other phones that are based on the Series 60 platform: Nokia 3650/7650/
N-Gage. Opera 6.1 for Series 60 is much smaller than its predecessor and uses significantly less memory.

GameStop, quickly becoming the #1 source on the internet to purchase N-Gage games and accessories, has slashed prices on the
N-Gage Game Deck down to $199.99 from $299.99. GameStop is also providing free shipping on all N-Gage products by using the coupon code: ngage. It is unknown how long GameStop will continute this promotion.
update: Reportedly, the $199.99 price tag is part of a "Halloween promotion" scheduled to end on
November 2, so if you're planning on purchasing an N-Gage Game Deck now would be a good time to pick one up.

IGN Reports that Nokia remains optimistic regarding sales of the N-Gage gamedeck. Nokia made public today that they have sold approximately 400,000 N-Gage Game Decks worldwide in its first two weeks. Furthermore, Nokia expects to sell 6-9 million game decks before the end of 2004.

1up.com reports a less than spectacular launch for Nokia's N-Gage Game Deck. According to Arcadia Research, an independent research firm, less than 5,000 N-Gages were sold in the United States during the systems first week out.

The best mobile gamers from across Europe gathered in Paris on 4 October to compete for the title of N-Gage Champion of Europe. The competition got fierce and frantic as 16 National Champions fought it out for 4 hours.
